Loraine Whiteley
Secretary /Chair
Loraine is an experienced insurance professional with a demonstrated history of working in the insurance and reinsurance industry. As a success-oriented individual, she takes pride in providing help to others. She has held several offices in her church which includes Director of Family Life Ministries. As a former teacher she has honed her skills in dealing with parents and keeping them connected with their children. As a member of our board, her goals include, championing the company’s success and collaborating with the community members, particularly fathers to bridge the gap for fathers and their children regardless of their social or economic status. She has caught the vision and will go above and beyond with her support.
Joanne Ibarra
President/Treasurer
I bring to Fortitude experience in Marketing and Sales Administration, 8 years Accounting, and a college diploma from Humber College in Legal Administration. I worked in 2 law firms and also within the financial services industry.
In 2001-2004 I was on the Board of Directors for Halton Region Crimestoppers...I assisted the Marketing team with creating a new logo for Halton, build community awareness of our program, Santa Claus parade, and promotional materials, etc.
I also have experience with the 12 step program I was an active participant for 2 years, and then assisted in the teaching of the program for 3 years 2000-2005. In 2005 as Core Leader I taught the Celebrate Recovery program 2005-2006.
And on a final note, I am a survivor of breast cancer, and I am a published author of my book, the Gateway...God's At The Entrance He is the Way. I am hopeful that one day I will be able to launch the Gateway Cafe program for my book that I might teach and share the Good news with others.
